📋 Getting Started
What is truck dispatching and how does it work?
Truck dispatching means sourcing freight, negotiating rates, booking loads, and managing broker paperwork and updates.
Freight Girlz handles the end-to-end process—so you can focus on driving while we manage calls, rate confirmations, and check-ins.
Do you work with new authorities?
Yes. We actively support new MCs through setup packets, compliance checks, and fair-rate negotiations during your first 90 days.
Start on our Carrier Onboarding page—upload W-9, COI, and MC letter to activate.
Can I use multiple dispatchers at the same time?
We require exclusivity to protect your reputation and avoid conflicts. Multiple dispatchers cause:
- Load conflicts & double-booking that damage broker relationships
- Communication breakdowns when brokers hear from multiple reps
- Payment risk & bans from broker networks due to confusion
What regions do you cover?
We dispatch nationwide with regional strategies (Southeast, Midwest, Texas triangle, West coast, Northeast).
Tell us your preferred lanes; we plan around your RPM targets and home-time needs.
🧭 Operations & Negotiation
Do you negotiate rates and accessorials?
Absolutely. We negotiate RPM and push for detention, layover, and TONU when applicable.
See our approach to rate negotiation.
What happens if a load cancels or a shipper reschedules?
We immediately pursue TONU/cancellation pay where possible, re-shop the lane, and prioritize a reload within your radius and time window.
You’ll get status updates in real time.
How do you reduce deadhead?
We stack freight with pre-planned reloads, align pickup windows with delivery ETAs, and avoid low-probability lanes.
Our internal tools flag lanes with poor reload density.
When can I reach my dispatcher?
We’re U.S.-based and available extended hours with 24/7 coverage for active loads.
After-hours issues (detention, reschedules, breakdowns) are escalated immediately.
💳 Billing, Pricing & Factoring
How am I billed and when?
Invoices go out Friday; your card on file drafts the following Tuesday for loads hauled.
No loads = no invoice. Transparent, per-load billing—no hidden fees.
Do I need a factoring company?
It’s recommended unless you invoice brokers directly. We assist with submissions and paperwork to speed payment.
Explore our factoring overview.
Do you require a long-term contract?
No long-term contract or forced dispatch. You approve every load. We earn your business with performance.
🛡️ Compliance & Risk
What documents are required to start?
W-9, Certificate of Insurance (active), and MC/Authority letter. Heavy haul carriers may need extra details.
Upload everything during onboarding.
Do you manage reefer temperatures and temp logs?
Yes—pre-cool notes, set-point verification, and temp-log requirements are confirmed with brokers/receivers.
See Reefer Dispatch.
Who handles permits and securement guidance for open-deck freight?
How do you vet brokers?
We combine credit checks, pay-history data, and our internal risk indicators to avoid slow-pay or problematic brokers.
Disputes and claims history are factored into selection.
🚚 Equipment & Services
What equipment types do you dispatch?
Dry Van, Reefer, Flatbed, Step Deck, RGN/Heavy Haul, Power Only, and Hotshot (min. 40′ trailer & Class A CDL).
Explore all dispatch services.
Do you support Power Only (drop/hook, trailer pools)?
Yes. We understand pool timing, exchange points, and drop/hook cycles. See Power Only Dispatch.
How do you handle RGN/Heavy Haul specifics?
We coordinate permits, escorts, and legal routing; confirm dimensions/weight with shippers; and align transit windows.
Start with RGN Dispatch.
🖥️ Tech, Visibility & Data
Do you have a driver/carrier dashboard?
Yes—our cloud dashboard provides load history, lanes, and AI broker-risk indicators. Visit the
Carrier Dashboard. Drivers can use the in-portal tools for check-calls and ETAs.
How do you protect my data?
We use encrypted portals for document exchange and limit access to your dispatch team. Sensitive files are kept in
secure cloud storage with role-based permissions.
